On Saturday, February 8, the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin hosted the world premiere of the opera The Return of the Prodigal Son, with a libretto written by Miro Gavran. The composer and conductor of the opera is Anđelko Igrec, while the director is Taro Morikawa from Japan.
The story is inspired by the biblical parable from the Gospel of Luke. With this premiere, the Chorus angelicus choir from Varaždin will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Alongside the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra, the performance features outstanding soloists from Croatia and Germany: Berislav Puškarić, Mislav Lucić, Tia Pikija, Matija Meić, Martina Menegoni, Emilia Rukavina, Benjamin Šuran, Jurica Jurasić Kapun, Luka Šopar, and Šimun Šopar.








Na jubilarnoj 30. manifestaciji u Podstrani Miro Gavran primio je priznanje za svoj izniman književni opus.

U Zrinu su predstavljeni dokumentarno-igrani film „1671. – Slom nade“ te film i televizijska serija „Urotnici“.

Domitrović i Gavran osvojili Zlatnog lava u Veneciji za mjuzikl „Byron“.
