New Editions of Children's and Young Adult Novels by Miro Gavran

The publishing house Mozaik knjiga from Zagreb has released the 10th edition of Miro Gavran's novel "The Teacher of My Dreams" and the 12th edition of "Happy Days" in Croatian. These beloved novels, cherished by both children and young adults, continue to captivate new generations of readers. Gavran’s works are known for their engaging storytelling and relatable characters, making these new editions a testament to their enduring popularity in Croatian literature.
The novel "Teacher of My Dreams" is a humorous story about a fourteen-year-old boy who falls in love with his teacher, who is nine years older than him. Ten editions have been published in Croatian, and the novel has also been translated into English.
The novel "Happy Days" tells the story of two nine-year-old boys, one of whom has only a mother, while the other has only a father. The boys do everything they can to ensure their parents meet and eventually marry. For this novel, Miro Gavran was awarded the "Mato Lovrak" Prize for the best children’s novel in Croatia in 1995. In addition to Croatian, the novel has been published in Slovenian, Albanian, and English.
