The book of plays by Miro Gavran, "The Secret of Greta Garbo / Night of the Gods," has been published in Ukrainian by the Anetta Antonenko Publishing House in Lviv. The book was translated into Ukrainian by Alla Tatarenko.
The Secret of Greta Garbo is a melodrama that explores the life of the famous actress Greta Garbo, fourteen years after her retirement from the film world. Night of the Gods portrays the tenth anniversary of the friendship between Louis XIV, Molière, and the court jester, focusing on the relationship between artists and politicians.
Despite the ongoing war, Miro Gavran's plays have continued to be performed in Ukraine in recent years. Night of the Gods has had 25 premieres so far, while The Secret of Greta Garbo has had two. Miro Gavran's works have been translated into 43 languages, and his plays have seen over 400 premieres worldwide, on every continent.
