Three German Premieres of Miro Gavran’s Plays in Just Two Months

Contemporary Croatian writer Miro Gavran will have three theatre premieres in three German cities over the next two months.

The first will be the premiere of his comedy The Doll in Dresden, produced by Hoftheater Dresden. The play was translated into German by Tihomir Glowatzky and is directed by Olaf Hais, with Hannah Jaitner and Holger Uwe Thews in the leading roles.

This will be followed on 2 October by the premiere of Gavran’s drama Creon’s Antigone in Augsburg, produced by Sensemble Theater. The play was translated by Ludwig Steindorff and is directed by Kalliniki Filli, with Heiko Dietz and Kerstin Becke in the leading roles.

Finally, on 14 November, Gavran’s grotesque comedy Doctor Freud’s Patient, translated by Tihomir Glowatzky, will premiere in a production by Munich Theater Art. The production is directed by Horst Wüst, with Petra Michelle Nérette, Horst Wüst and Tommy Dulovits in the leading roles.
